Dear Colleagues,
Please take into consideration the following updated information about the ONLINE/LIVE Oral and POSTER sessions:
Oral presentation requirements:
A 25 minutes spoken/live presentation, including questions and answers time (5 min) should be prepared; Live video camera feed should be available during the presentation.
The presentation should be in MS-PowerPoint or PDF format and should be sent by email siitme@cetti.ro (along with a short biography of the presenter included in the first slide of the presentation – recommended first slide template available here) no later than 22nd of October, 2021;
All poster presenters should submit a one-page e-poster as a JPG, PNG, or PDF file with the name IDXXX_Poster_Autorname_
The poster will be available to all attendees in a gallery on the conference website. Although any size can be used, keep in mind that attendees will be viewing the posters on their computer screens. We recommend that posters should be readable at full screen width without zooming. No particular template is required for SIITME 2021, but you are welcome to use the SIITME2021 banner.
Each POSTER session consists of two parts, as follows:
1. The pitching part: all presenters should tease the audience with a short pitching material aimed to stimulate the audience interest towards the poster.
The purpose of the short – pitching – presentation is to to pique the interest of the audience and convince them to come to the poster to discuss further and share information. This part can only be:
Pre-recorded presentations can be sent and presented in this session as long as they are sent to the Publication Committee by email at siitme@cetti.ro (using a file transfer or sharing service such as Wetransfer, Filemail, or Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.) not later than 22nd of October. These should not exceed 1 minute and should be in AVI or MP4 format. The file should be named IDXXX_VideoPitch_AuthorName_SIITME2021 (where IDXXX is the Paper ID in SIITME2021 CMT platform). You can have one or two slides (PowerPoint or PDF, for 16:9 format preferably 1280×720 or 1920×1080 resolution), and they cannot be overloaded with information. You may use animations, annotations, “spotlight”, as well as video of yourself, but ensure that the recording will appear good to the audience, and not too overloaded. It is recommended to have a picture or video of the presenting author(s) in the video clip. The video pitching presentations will be used instead of live/online pitching and the organizers will carefully insert all pre-recorded presentation in the right place. These presentations will also be available to the participants during the conference.
An example tutorial of “How to make a video in PowerPoint” is available here.
A short tutorial for using a Screen Recorder is available here.
2. The poster presentation and evaluation. After completing the pitching portion (number_of_pitching_presentations x 1 minute each), each presenter will be online in the virtual space allotted for the duration of the session to answer questions from the evaluation committee and audience. For this part, the author should be present live.
Every presenter must be online. Only presented papers may be sent to IEEE Xplore for publication.
The presenter must be the main author or co-author of the paper.
During a presentation microphones and cameras only of the presenter and the Chairmen will be unmuted. All listening participants will remain muted in order to reduce background noise and save bandwidth
We are looking forward to meeting you ONLINE/LIVE at SIITME 2021!
Papers meeting the quality criteria will be included in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library and ISI Thompson Web of Knowledge.
